Book of Civilian War Dead

At Westminster Abbey, overlooking the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, is a wooden case containing the seven volumes. Inside are the name of civilians lost due to enemy action in World War Two. Amongst those listed are Scouts who died whilst working in ARP (Air Raid Precautions) whose work took them outside whilst bombs and fire continued to fall around them.
